Match Report | This Saturday saw the Ladies 1s take on Boroughmuir in the penultimate pre season friendly at Mary Erskine School. The team knew from last season that this was a team they found tricky to beat and also that MES was a particularly bouncy pitch - something they have been getting better at dealing with! L1 started with good ball pace and excellent passing, resulting in a goal very early on from Kim Milligan. The first half saw more chances from both sides, but nothing came of it. The second half saw the ladies continue to play fantastic hockey. The defence were solid and a special mention goes to Jo Beedie (GK) for making a few spectacular saves in goal! A short corner awarded in second half saw Lindsay Rankine smash the ball in the corner of the goal. |
