L1s V Boroughmuir Ladies 1s

FAL L1s took on Boroughmuir at Meggetland in their second game of the league. The game started well with FAL having majority of the possession. The ball was worked well from defence and through the midfield and although we had plenty of opportunities we did not manage to get the ball in the back of the net. Boroughmuir on the other hand made good use of their high striker and managed to find a goal, ending the first half 1-0 to them. FAL kept their heads up and entered the second half with the same determination as the first. Again there were plenty of scoring opportunities for FAL but nothing came of it. Boroughmuir rarely found themselves in our D for the majority of the match but when they did make it in they took full advantage and managed to find themselves another goal.
FAL eventually managed to bring it back to 2-1 with a goal by Becky Smith in the last 5 minutes from a short corner. Unfortunately it was too little too late and the final score was 2-1 to Boroughmuir. A disappointing result given how well the team played but they know what they need to work on from the game and are look forward to taking on CALA 3s in 2 weeks time.
