Zorro Strikes Again!

M4 2 - 1 Carnegie

Saturday saw M4 go across the bridge to play Carnegie.

Playing away saw the formation go back to our traditional 4-4-2 allowing the youngsters continuity of position with Lewis, Josh, Shaun and Scott all making key contributions during the game.

Falkirk started strongly making Carnegie know that we were here for the 3 points.

Good possession from Covey and George, with Davie F patrolling midfield, saw a number of decent chances created without any return.

The game descended into controversy where good work by George at the top of the D, saw Danny slot home, however the Carnegie umpire seemed to blow for a short corner after the ball was over the line.

This made Falkirk all the more determined and the lead was soon with M4 through Iain Cameron, continuing his fine form in front of goals and slotting home from close range.

HT 1-0 to Falkirk M4

The second half saw some tinkering to the midfield with Davie F having to go and protect the public (shift due to start) and Shields replacing him.

Again Falkirk went out and controlled the game, with Fobey and Covey linking up down the right and creating a number of chances, the best of which saw the ball falling to Josh, on controlling it, squared to Gibney who did an Adam (miss an open goal from 3 yards).

Against the run of play, Carnegie equalised, where some mis-communication saw the Fifers put out a stick and the deflection sneaked by Egan in goals.

Falkirk dusted themselves down, regained composure and went again. The reward wasn't long off with some great team build up play saw the ball fall to George, the Carnegie keeper made a great save from the first strike, however Armstrong was to quick and smashed the rebound in.

M4 continued to control the game and saw time out for the win and take the 3 points back over the river with a 2-1 win.
